Craig Camps goes wire to wire.

Craig Camps from Bryanston Golf Club managed to win the senior division of the North West Senior Open Stroke Play Championships held on 29 and 30 September 2018 at Orkney Golf Club. Craig was the leader in the clubhouse after day one when he shot a round of 69. He was closely followed by Morgan Phillips (Maritzburg Golf Club) on 70 and Brain Chernotsky (Killarney Country Club) on the same score.

Starting the final round one shot in the lead, Craig Kamps had to reload on the first tee after a lost ball. This however did not bother him and he went on to play a round of 70 to finish the tournament on 139 (-5). Morgan Phillips and Brain Chernotsky finished tied second on 142 (-2).

The Super Senior Division was won by Christo Reyneke (Lichtenburg Golf Club) who was also crowned the NWGU champion. Kevin Curren from Durban Country Club was second in the Super Seniors.
